Meet the Team

At Carrie's Dog Day Care each member of our team is passionate about working with dogs, led by Carrie Evans, a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors, and Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council. Carrie’s love for working with animals is obvious to anyone who meets her.

Courtney - Canine Stylist & Day Care Assistant

Courtney gained a degree in Fine Art, from Teesside University in 2015. However,  she had always wanted to work with animals, so in September 2017, she decided to follow her passion for animals and joined the team here at Carrie’s Dog Day Care starting a new exciting journey. Since joining the team Courtney's artistic talent has been tapped into and she has been responsible for making a range of displays within the centre. During 2019 Courtney was given the amazing opportunity to undertake training to become a qualified Dog Stylist. Her role is now split between the dog day care and the Salon.

At home, Courtney shares her life with her partner Luke and their cat, numerous snakes, a gecko, a chameleon and other exotic pets. In her spare time she likes watching movies, baking cakes and spending time with her family

Gina - Day Care Assistant

Gina completed a Level 3 Animal Management course at Askham Bryan, during this time she volunteered at two different grooming salons as part of her work experience. After completing the course, Gina continued to volunteer as she thoroughly enjoyed working with dogs. In September 2018, Gina began volunteering here at Carrie’s Dog Day Care on a regular basis. When a permanent position arose in October 2018, Gina applied for the position and was offered a role as Day Care Assistant. Gina is responsible for ensuring the centre is cleaned to the high standards set and are adhered to by all team members.

Ally - Day Care Assistant

Ally joined the team early 2020 and it soon became evident that she was the perfect person to plan, manage and deliver our daily Enrichment schedule. Ally works with and supports the entire team to deliver lots of wonderful activities to our dogs.

Outside of work Ally is a busy mum to two girls, two dogs and one cat.  She graduated from Teesside University with a Graphic Design degree, many moons ago. In her spare time Ally continues to practice her exceptional talent as a Textile Artist. Ally has always loved all animals especially dogs, Irish Terriers being her favourite. Her passion for the breed led to her to being invited to volunteer as the Irish Terrier Rescue and Re-homing Coordinator for the North of England.  She is also a committee member of the North of England Irish Terrier Club.  Over the years Ally has done many things with her dogs from showing them at crufts, to obedience and flyball, all of which she is greatly proud of.

Volunteers

People love to help out at Day Care. This might be for experience or purely for their love of dogs. We have a fabulous team of volunteers to help make your dogs experience here a great one!
